Who we are
The German Lao Association for Development (GLAD) is operating under the umbrella of the international non-government organization Deutsch Laotische Gesellschaft e.V. Germany (DLG), but is financially and organizationally independent.
The first operation permit was signed on 18th of April 2012. The establishment of GLAD goes back to an initiative of the German Development Service (DED) and Deutsch Laotische Gesellschaft (DLG) e.V. in Berlin in the year 2006. In order to do so we work with various partners like Schmitz Foundation (WPSS), Solidaritätdienst International e.V. (SODI), Weltfriedensdienst (WFD), Mirja-Sachs-Foundation (MSS), Stiftung Collegium Wartinum (SCW), Kindermissionswerk (KMW), Stiftung Nord-Sued Bruecken (SNSB), Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, the Embassy of Germany among others. We offer various services to our partners and act as their local representatives to enable them to successfully execute local projects. So far the cooperation with our partners has led to a lot of successful projects which can be viewed here.
GLAD’s | Services
GLAD helps various partners to realize projects in Laos without having their own staff and representatives in the country. Our partners use our experience and expertise in Laos to help the local community through us.
We provide fund management and project cycle management. | We accompany the projects from initiation until evaluation. | Our experience and local contacts help to ensure that the projects are accurately executed and accounted for. | We work with different partners and realize a wide range of projects.
GLAD’s | Vision
