Our Early Childhood Education Development project in Salavan provinces, Laos, focuses on enhancing early childhood education and nutrition by providing comprehensive support to kindergartens.
We equip kindergarten teachers with skills to effectively teach children from diverse cultural backgrounds and train administrators in financial management and reporting, supported by computer facilities for easy record-keeping. To create a healthy learning environment, we ensure kindergartens have adequate facilities, including clean water, proper sanitation, and resources for preparing nutritious meals. The project supported the construction of kindergartens in 3 villages in Ta Oi District, Salavan Province, and 3 villages in Dakchung District, Sekong Province.
Additionally, we work with parents and communities to establish sustainable structures for early childhood education and lunch programs. Selected families receive training in mixed farming, enabling them to supply nutritious food for the children and generate extra income by selling surpluses to the schools.
Through the sponsorship of Kindermissionswerk, Die Sternsinger e.V., and W. P. Schmitz-Stiftung, the project aims to build sustainable, community-based solutions that promote quality education, child nutrition, and economic empowerment for families. Together, we are fostering an environment where early childhood education can thrive, children receive proper nutrition, and communities are empowered to support their youngest members.
