Who we are

The German Lao Association for Development (GLAD) operates under the umbrella of the international NGO Deutsch Laotische Gesellschaft e.V. Germany (DLG). However, GLAD functions with complete financial and organizational independence.

GLAD received its first operation permit on April 18, 2012. Our establishment stems from a 2006 German Development Service (DED) and Deutsch Laotische Gesellschaft (DLG) e.V. initiative in Berlin. We collaborate with esteemed partners such as the Schmitz Foundation (WPSS), Solidaritätdienst International e.V. (SODI), Weltfriedensdienst (WFD), Mirja-Sachs-Foundation (MSS), Kindermissionswerk (KMW), Stiftung Nord-Sued Bruecken (SNSB), and the German Embassy. We offer various services to these partners, acting as their local representatives to facilitate the successful execution of local projects. Our partnerships have led to numerous successful initiatives, which you can explore [here]
