From July 28 to August 2, 2025, the Salavan District Health Office, in collaboration with the German-Lao Association for Development (GLAD), successfully completed a training on hygiene, sanitation, and epidemic prevention for 30 women in Nawa and Nonsavanh villages, Salavan District, Salavan Province.

The main objectives of this training were to empower women with knowledge on:

Personal and environmental hygiene.

Safe water usage and food management.

Epidemic prevention methods, including dengue fever.

Leadership in sharing knowledge with their families and communities.

All participants gained a better understanding of the importance of hygiene and its impact on community health. They are also set to become main person, passing on what they have learned to their families and neighbors.
